The american music magazine “On Tape” has an excellent multi-page interview out (Issue 117 Jan/Feb. 2017) with Stuart Staples about his recording studios in the past & about the recording process of the current 2016 album “The Waiting Room” and other recording stories.

Some nice photos of the Studio atmosphere made by Neil Fraser & included in the article.

The 2016 Q&A from the band

It has been quite a tradition for members of the band to sit down & answer questions from fans/members of their official web phorum.

Like in  2001, 2010 and 2012, they released again this year a new Q&A article. This time on their website:

UPDATE 10-2016: “there will be a repress of the LP available for the shows this November, and any remaining copies will be in the official website-shop afterward if some copies remain available at the end of the tour.”

update The LP & CD will be available after the initial tour end – around may/early june – in the official band store at: http://www.tindersticks.co.uk/shop-2/ – There is no need to pay a lot of money on ebay or discogs or else . Neil Fraser will be handling the shipment then in late may/early june again. If you have friends in a city they will play until end of may (see tour shedule thread), try to ask them to buy a copy for you at the venue at the evening of the gigs. Sorry, but you have to wait a bit further then.

Update: As the summer dates start in a few days, keep trying your luck at the merch. stands (if available; on festival gigs there might be no merchandise at all as usual) at the venues on the concert evenings.  Obviously the band is so busy touring, that is good news, so the online shop has not got any updated items in the meantime !?!

update 2: The Vinyl LP has obviously sold-out during the long initial tour – Though the CD was still available on selected recent gigs (e.g. Ghent in late July) – No official info of repressings available so far
